An Update About the Lack of Updates

I've just returned from a business trip to Budapest, hence the lack of updates. And from tomorrow through Wednesday, I'll be in Germany with my family. So the update lackage will continue.

Budapest, in case you didn't know, is divided by the Danube into two sections, called Buda and Pest. When I was in the city in July, I stayed on the Pest side and hated it. This time, I stayed in Buda and had a much nicer time. In Budapest, Buda is best.

I was telling Colleen that Budapest has more bookstores than any other city I've visited. It also has a striking number of casinos and banks. The casinos are dreary and small and feature primarily video slot machines, which I have an aversion to. I have this idea that video slots are "less fair" than regular slots. Silly, I know.

I'm looking forward to my next movie day in Bern; Pride & Prejudice and Night Watch have opened there, and I'm eager to see them both. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll make it up there until next weekend.

My birthday is on Monday. Don't forget to congratulate me.
