Albert Finney is working for the weekend in the movie that emphatically launched his career. A classic of the British new wave, Saturday Night inspired the work of Ken Loach and Mike Leigh, as well as contemporary British popsters Arctic Monkeys, who appropriated a line of Finney's dialogue for the title of their debut album.
