The Matador

7.5/10. Watched this yesterday evening on DVD.

Worth seeing just for Pierce Brosnan's excellent performance, but I also liked its old-fashioned style: restrained editing, the use of a tripod, and an emphasis on wide and medium shots filled with what appears to have been the work of an actual production designer.

This didn't do much in theaters; hopefully it'll find an audience on video.
