Tout un hiver sans feu

I was pleased to learn that Switzerland has submitted Tout un hiver sans feu -- one of the year's best movies -- to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for consideration in the foreign-language Oscar category. (There's an article with a list of the movies being considered here.)

There are 58 movies in the running, and so the odds are against Tout un hiver even getting nominated, much less winning. But I'm still pleased. And who knows, maybe this will lead to the movie finally getting a theatrical release in the States.
