Pride & Prejudice

9/10. Saw this Sunday afternoon at the Jura in Bern.

This bazillionth adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel pitches itself halfway between Roger Michell’s earthy Persuasion and Ang Lee’s sunny Sense & Sensibility. The result is the best movie of its “type” that I’ve seen in twenty years.

North America got the movie with a tacked-on romantic denouement. So if you live over there and you want to see the version I saw, when Donald Sutherland says, “I am quite at my leisure” -- run out of the theater.

I've also enjoyed the film. It was an above average.

P.S: FC Thun was a good team! they did play well in the ECL. Perhaps we'll C more of them in the future. Somewhat surprising to C them instead of the regulars Basel.

It's very exciting what FC Thun has achieved since ascending to the Super League. I think a key has been a lack of "superstars"; they play great team football.

Last night's Champions League match was a heartbreaker. I don't might them losing a fair match, but that linesman taking away Lustrinelli's goal was too much.
