Monster Man

5.5/10. Watched this Monday evening on DVD.

According to writer/director Michael Davis, one day he was approached by some financiers he'd worked with previously, who told him, "This title we came up with, Monster Man, has been getting a great reaction at the film markets. You think you could do something with it?"

What's surprising is that Davis didn't just take the money and churn out the bare minimum. Monster Man isn't the greatest horror movie ever made, but it was clearly made by people who cared about what they were doing, and the movie even manages a few original moments.
