9/10. Watched this Sunday morning on DVD.

After this, this and this, the fourth of Eric Rohmer's "Moral Tales".

I saw this one for the first time more than 15 years ago, and it didn't make nearly impression on me then as it did this time around. Intellectually it's rock-solid, the black-and-white photography is gorgeous, and lead actors Jean-Louis Trintignant and Françoise Fabian are outstanding.
