The Sign of Four

6/10. Watched this Sunday evening on DVD.

I've been working through Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, and after reading The Sign of Four, I decided to give this adaptation a try. The story's all there, and Jeremy Brett makes a compelling Holmes. But I don't think its campy tone was what Doyle had in mind.
