At a certain point, you have to start wondering why the White House is turning what appears to be a simple hunting accident into something complicated. Is there more to this story? Or is obfuscation simply the Bush Administration's default mode?

Why wouldn't you obfuscate? It's a non-story that has nothing to do with Iraq, Al Quaeda, or the economy. The longer the media perseverate over it, the less chance they'll have time to ask a question about topics of real concern. (And of course, the less credibility they have when they do come across something worth digging into. "Well, there you go again.")
You are one formidable adversary. I throw out "obfuscation", you shoot back with "perseverate".
