The good news is that Rick's up for reelection this year and is considered extremely vulnerable. The Democrats are making taking his seat a priority this year.

The good news is that Bill Frist is both retiring and bears the whiff of scandal, which could rub off on whichever Republican tries to take his seat.

We should also mention Ted "Let's Drill For Oil In Alaska" Stevens, who's been lining his pockets at America's expense for longer than I've been alive. Alas, he won't have to face voters until 2008.

Chilling thought of the day: If George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Dennis Hastert all went down in a plane together, Stevens would be President of the United States.
