The Girl Next Door

6/10. Watched this last Friday evening recorded from SF2.

My wife & I are "Deadwood" fans, so I recorded this for her to watch (I'd already seen it) to give her another perspective on Timothy Olyphant, who's excellent here in a key supporting role.

Many dismiss The Girl Next Door as a Risky Business rip-off, and it's true that the two movies have a lot in common. But I have a certain affection for this movie, and probably precisely because it was made with Risky Business in mind -- a movie which, while certainly titillative, had real affection for its characters and even involved some actual filmmaking.
