The Queen

7.5/10. Saw this last Saturday afternoon at the Movie in Bern.

The acting is great (Helen Mirren & Michael Sheen are Oscar shoo-ins) but otherwise this "inspired by actual events" drama is merely very good, and I don't know why it's being singled out by many as one of the year's two or three best movies. I also don't know that it has any value as a historical document, given that much of it obviously pure conjecture.
