Monster House

6.5/10. Watched this on February 24 on DVD.

As mentioned elsewhere, I'm not a fan of computer cartoons, but I decided to give this one a try for not featuring anthropomorphized animals and for being -- up to a point, anyway -- a horror movie.

Despite the much-praised motion capture process, the humans here look awful. And the meager story is padded with too much "comedy". But the movie's world is gorgeously rendered, and the titular house is an astonishing creation, especially when it goes nuts during the climax.
