The Ghosts of Edendale

In 1998, Stefan Avalos co-created The Last Broadcast, a faux-documentary horror movie that partly inspired The Blair Witch Project. Ghosts of Edendale (which Avalos made on his own) is a similarly inventive low-budget effort.

It's not quite as effective as Last Broadcast, but it still manages some scares; and the lead actors deliver fully-invested performances. Also, while I'll always prefer plain old film, it's interesting to see what can be done with "grass roots" moviemaking technology.
