16 Blocks

5.5/10. Watched this yesterday evening on DVD.

The best movie Richard Donner has made in almost twenty years, but that isn't saying much. (Lethal Weapon 4 is, if I may be frank, a piece of shit.) 16 Blocks is a capable action-thriller, but it could've been better with more attention to detail. And while the premise is intriguing, it's presented rather predictably. If you have a choice, watch The Gauntlet instead.
